Welcome to Heath Hayes Academy PTFA

Heath Hayes Academy PTFA is a registered charitable body made up of, and supported by, parents, teachers, teaching assistants and friends of Heath Hayes Academy.

Our PTFA is about much more than simply fundraising. The PTFA exists to provide close links between home and school, we do this by organising fundraising events that are fun, enhance community spirit and provide social entertainment and opportunities for the children and parents alike.

The PTFA is a really important part of school life, we are a small but very active and enthusiastic group, we work on a volunteer basis, giving up our time to benefit our pupils.

All parents are automatically members of the PTFA and we encourage everyone to get involved in some way.

However big or small a role you’d like to play, everyone is welcome and we always need volunteers!  So whether it is coming along to the meetings and sharing your ideas, helping to organise an event or manning a stall at an event, we’d love to have your input!

The important thing to remember is that every penny we raise goes towards making our school the outstanding place it is and gives ALL pupils the added  ‘extras’ not already provided by the school’s main income – often ‘fun things’ that provide exciting and interesting opportunities. The PTFA committee decide how to spend PTFA funds following requests from the school. Common items include playground & school equipment, toys & books. PTFA have also provided many gifts for all pupils, these include Christmas Presents, Easter Eggs, Year 6 Leavers Hoodies & more which we wouldn’t be able to provide without your support.

Our committee is elected at our AGM (Annual General Meeting) each year which is usually held in the summer term (July). The committee usually consists of a chair, a vice-chair, a treasurer, a secretary and ordinary committee members.

The group is very friendly and always welcomes new members.
